My Jennie Thomas Scholarship Experience
The purpose of this grant was to
investigate the efficacy of speech pathology intervention for chronic cough in
a randomised control trial. The
grant was used to fund a research assistant to collect data and assist running
the trial. The
speech pathology treatment has been adopted in many centres within Australia
and overseas. This was the first randomised trial of speech pathology treatment
for chronic cough. The
trial would not have been able to continue without Jennie’s very generous
donation towards the research.
